Your Problem:
You need to say something Special, Really Special, but somehow, the words just won't come out. You want to offer a gift of poetry to a friend, perhaps for a wedding, a birthday, your anniversary, but you do not want it to be "off-the-shelf". You want to offer poetry and beautiful writing but it is not a talent you have. Your Solution: This is where you Contact Me, Christine Brooks, The Word Smith. I do not claim to be a poet, although I do write poetry. And I don't call myself a writing artist, although I love writing. I call myself a Word Smith. That is to say that I craft the words and phrases of the English language to say exactly what you want them to say. I can make words work for you. I will take your thoughts and ideas and find the words that say them clearly, poetically and beautifully. I take the hammers and spanners of rhyme, rhythm, meter and vocabulary and I apply them to your ideas, descriptions and aims. From these I craft an original, personal and individual written piece according to your specification. And the more you can guide me on what exactly you are looking for, the better I will be able to write what you want. |
If you have something you want to say, but you cannot find the words to express it properly, let me do it for you. Tell me as much as you can about what you are trying to say. Perhaps you want to write a love poem in order to propose. Maybe you can write music but you don't know how to write lyrics for your music. Whatever it is, you know what is is you are trying to say, I will find the words for you.
Every piece I produce is orginal. No-one else will have anything else quite like it. It will be yours to use, for your speech, for your proposal, as a dedication in a book or other gift, as lyrics to your melody. You can have rhyming or non-rhyming as you prefer, or leave it to me to fit the mood.
I can supply your poem or lyric simply as text by e-mail if you wish. Alternatively, it can be supplied as beautiful artwork for printing and framing, or perhaps for a card with a special message, the imagery chosen to match the style, mood and content of the poem.

Moods
You may wish to capture a particular moon with your personalised poem. The mood of a poem is very important and depending on whether you want to say "I Love You", "I Do" or "Together Forever", you may want a mood of longing or sentimentality. You may wish to keep it light and romantic, or you may want to be more risque, with a sexy note added.
If you are the best man at a wedding, then you probably want a humorous piece, with some slightly embarrassing references for the groom. Or if a loved one has passed on, or you wish to express sympathy, you may wish for a serious note to your words. On the other hand, it is not always grief that you might want to express at a death. You may wish instead to celebrate a life lived to the full.
Again, some possibilities are listed below, but there can be many others. Whatever mood you wish expressed, the right words will achieve it for you.
